In Australia, we manage 20 solar farms across New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland, representing more than 2 GW of renewable energy capacity. As our Australian operations continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and proactive HSEQ Coordinator to join our Australian team.

About the role
As HSEQ Coordinator, you will support the effective operation and maintenance of Solarig’s by monitoring HSEQ performance, conducting site audits, investigating incidents and promoting a strong safety culture.
Position details
Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Equipment: Company phone and laptop provided
Requires travel across Australia
Development: Role-specific training and ongoing professional development provided
Your key responsibilities
You will:
Conduct regular site visits, inspections and internal audits across Solarig’s operational assets.
Monitor compliance with Solarig’s safety, environmental and quality management systems.
Track HSEQ performance and prepare clear reports, statistics and recommendations.
Lead or support accident, incident and near-miss investigations and identify appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSEQ records, registers and documentation.
Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of site HSEQ policies, procedures and management plans.
Monitor changes to relevant legislation, industry standards and recognised good practice.
Promote a proactive and positive safety culture among employees, contractors and other site personnel.
Verify that personnel have completed the required training and have access to appropriate safety equipment.
Work collaboratively with operational teams to identify risks and implement practical improvements.
Support corrective-action tracking and help ensure actions are completed within agreed timeframes.
About you
You are a practical and approachable HSEQ professional who can build strong working relationships while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across office and operational environments.
Essential requirements
Currently residing in Australia with full working rights.
Previous experience within the solar or renewable energy sector.
The role requires travel really often across all over Australia (WA, NSW, VIC, NT, QLD and SA)
Certificate IV, Diploma or higher qualification in Work Health and Safety, or another relevant safety qualification.
Demonstrated experience in an HSEQ or safety coordination role.
Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, safety procedures and project or site management plans.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Current Australian driver’s licence.
Willingness and ability to travel to Solarig sites when required.
Desirable qualifications and experience
Experience working on solar farms during the construction or operations and maintenance phase.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Formal incident-investigation training, such as ICAM, MORT, Causal Tree or an equivalent methodology.
Drug and alcohol testing certification.
