We are expanding and looking for professionals who share our purpose and want to make an impact as a Health & Safety Head Manager, joining our Global HSEQ team.
🔍 Your main responsibilities will include:
- Monitor the effectiveness of the established management system, its compliance, and its ability to achieve objectives, proposing or establishing corrective or preventive actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with established health and safety regulations to eliminate or minimise evaluated risk situations, integrating such measures into work systems whenever possible. ·
- Lead periodic reviews of working conditions in accordance with the management system within their area of influence/responsibility.
- Lead investigations of work-related health damages and, where applicable, follow up on the implementation and effectiveness of actions resulting from such analyses.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements in the countries under their responsibility in relation to Health and Safety.
- Channel information of interest regarding preventive matters throughout the organisational structure, including the results of preventive actions carried out.
- Provide technical expertise in Health and Safety for the development of procedures, instructions, and any other documents relating to the work performed or for the improvement of Health and Safety in the countries under their responsibility.
- Act as a liaison with external collaborators in preventive matters, such as consultants, external prevention services, or others.
- Participate periodically in audits and reviews of the implementation of the Integrated Management System, specifically regarding legal requirements, procedures, and instructions related to Health and Safety.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Communication & Reporting with Headquarters
- Maintain regular communication with Headquarters in Spain, ensuring timely reporting despite time zone differences.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on Health & Safety performance, incidents, preventive actions, and compliance status for all countries under their responsibility.
- Coordinate with the corporate H&S team to align local practices with global standards, policies, and strategic objectives.
- Participate in cross-country meetings, audits, and reviews scheduled by Headquarters, ensuring availability during required timeframes considering international time differences.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the local H&S teams and Headquarters, ensuring consistent information flow, alignment of risk management strategies, and prompt escalation of critical issues.
- Contribute to the development and adaptation of global H&S guidelines, procedures, and documentation to meet local regulatory requirements.
✅ What we’re looking for:
- University degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or similar.
- Master's degree or certification in Occupational Health & Safety (H&S).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in H&S roles within industrial, renewable energy, construction, or O&M projects.
- Proven knowledge of H&S in Australia
- Experience in ISO 45001 implementation and audit processes.
- Fluent English (C1 level); additional regional languages are a plus.
- A proactive, autonomous professional with strong cross-cultural communication and decision-making skills.
