About The Role
With our continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in the Head Office in Sydney. Reporting to Headquarters in Madrid, mid-senior role, will manage our O&M Division with a strong focus on enhancing employee retention and fostering a high-performance workplace culture.
Full time, 38 hours per week
Monday to Friday from 12pm to 8pm
Office; Head Office in North Sydney, next to North Sydney Train Station
Core objectives include:
- Strategic HR Partnership, collaborate with the Head O&M Australia and Headquarters (Spain) to understand business needs and develop HR strategies that support the achievement of business goals.
- Determining, implementing, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating human resource management strategies, policies and plans to meet business needs
- Responsible for overseeing HR/Payroll administration
- Talent Management, lead talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning efforts, ensuring that we attract and retain top talent aligned with our company values and goals, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
- Advising and assisting other Managers in applying sound recruitment and selection practices, and appropriate induction, training and development programs
- Develop Onboarding plan, HR policies and procedures.
- Keeps job descriptions up-to-date
- Handles investigation and resolution of employee issues, concerns and conflicts
- Employee Relations, provide expert guidance on employee relations issues, fostering a positive work environment and addressing concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Representing the organisation in negotiations with employees to determine remuneration and other conditions of employment
- Overseeing the application of redundancy and other employee retrenchment policies
- HR Compliance, maintain accurate employee records and handle HR audits as required.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Develop and management of the Human Resources annual budget and Work Plan. Monitoring employment costs and productivity levels
- HR Reporting, prepare and present HR reports and analytics to both the Australian management team and the HR Director in Madrid, providing insights into workforce trends, turnover rates, and other key metrics.
- Develops training and performance management program. May train and advise other Managers in personnel and workplace relations matters
- Fulfill other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.
- Developing and implementing performance management systems to plan, appraise and improve individual and team performance
- Collaboorate with HSEQ Department to developing and implementing occupational health and safety programs and equal employment opportunity programs, and ensuring compliance with related statutory requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar HR role
- 2+ years of experience as Employee Relations
- Must speak Spanish (reporting everyday to Headquarters in Madrid)
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience with and implementation of an HRIS
- Working knowledge of employment laws Other Skills & competencies Experience
Salary
This position's salary range is $80,000 - $95,000 per annum, plus superannuation

Understanding of payroll processes
Must speak Spanish
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Headquarters
The HR Manager must reporting to the Headquarters in Madrid. You will work closely with the entire team to deliver on key HR objectives, including talent acquisition, performance management, and HRIS implementation.
Please note; - time zone - Spain is 10 hours behind, the candidate must be able to work afternoon/evening schedule to be able to have meetings with HQ during.
